let’s do what we love

I was a wide-eyed sophomore in high school, barely 15, when I got hooked on coding. The internet raised me right! I spent my teenage years glued to the computer, learning tons of cool stuff online and teaching myself the art of coding. I even had my own hobby blog back then. It was pretty awesome.

Back in the day, I had no clue what I wanted to be when I grew up, other than the typical “doctor” suggestion everyone seemed to throw at me (as an asian). But then I crossed paths with my best-friend, he was a junior designer at ed-tech company. His work was so impressive, it got me inspired. I didn’t take myself too seriously at first, I was at the whole medical student gig. But life had plans for me ~

My mom always dropped these nuggets of wisdom on me “Do your own thing, don’t follow the crowd. Don’t chase someone else’s dream just because it seems cool. Do what you love, and be passionate about it.” So, that’s how my career began.

I’ve had the pleasure of teaming up with all sorts of cool companies and startups, taking on freelance gigs, and working with folks from all over the world. It’s been an eye-opening experience that has shaped me into who I am today as a person and designer. So, take a look around, and hopefully, you’ll find something that speaks to you!
